Tracing Loona’s steps in London

<< Original article: Tracing Loona’s steps: how I visited the places where Loona has been in Europe

While traveling across Europe in 2022, I visited various places where the members of K-Pop group Loona have been, including the locations where they filmed their music videos. I did the same the following year while visiting Paris, and then again in 2025 in Milan. Each time, I wrote an article explaining how to find these places. If you’re new here, I suggest checking out the previous articles too. And if you need an introduction to Loona, you can start here, and check out the related pages to learn about more K-Pop artists. This is the fourth episode of this ongoing series, and it focuses on London.

The members of Loona have visited London several times. The first, and most notable, occasion was in 2016, when HeeJin, HyunJin, and HaSeul filmed the music video for their song “The Carol” in this city. Several behind-the-scenes videos from the members’ visit to London were also released, as part of their Loona TV series. In particular, the members are in London between Loona TV #50 and #58. Since a long time has passed, some places look quite different now and it’s not always easy to see that the locations are indeed the same, but I still managed to find them.

The group’s first visit to London actually started with a funny incident. HaSeul had just filmed the music video for her solo song “Let Me In” in Iceland, and was supposed to reunite with HeeJin and HyunJin, who were coming directly from South Korea, at London Heathrow Airport. However, as shown in Loona TV #50 and #51, HeeJin and HyunJin were waiting for HaSeul at the wrong terminal, and this resulted in the members’ reunion being delayed. As explained by HaSeul in Loona TV #51, she arrived at Terminal 2, while HeeJin and HyunJin were waiting for her at Terminal 4.

Using this information, it wasn’t hard to figure out where the members were exactly. HeeJin and HyunJin were at the Arrivals area of Terminal 4 (Google Maps, coordinates: 51.4594, -0.4465). Instead, HaSeul was at the International Arrivals area of Terminal 2 (Google Maps, coordinates: 51.4700, -0.4510). In both cases, these areas are quite easy to find once you’re inside the terminal, as there are plenty of signs pointing to them. HaSeul’s location can also be pointed out more precisely by looking at the mirrored “International Arrivals” sign that can be seen in Loona TV #50. HeeJin, HyunJin, and HaSeul finally reunited just outside Terminal 2. More specifically, they met on the top floor of the parking area. To reach this place, take the elevator from Terminal 2 to the upper floor. Once you’re outside, looking towards the parking lot, go left until you see a sign saying “Valet Parking” (Google Maps, coordinates: 51.4693, -0.4517).

After reuniting, HeeJin, HyunJin, and HaSeul filmed the music video for “The Carol” in various locations across London. The most easily recognizable of these is the column in Seven Dials, a square in the London Borough of Camden (Google Maps, coordinates: 51.5138, -0.1270). Some of the photos in HaSeul’s solo album were taken here, on the eastern side of the square looking towards a pub called The Crown (Google Maps, coordinates: 51.5138, -0.1268). Various scenes from the “The Carol” music video were shot around this area. along a road called Short’s Garden. In one of these, HeeJin and HyunJin are walking towards Seven Dials opposite a store called Neal’s Yard Dairy (Google Maps, coordinates: 51.5142, -0.1261). In other scenes, HeeJin and HyunJin are instead walking away from Seven Dials along Short’s Garden, next to The Crown (Google Maps, coordinates: 51.5140, -0.1266) and a bit further along the same road (Google Maps, coordinates: 51.5141, -0.1264).

In another famous scene from the music video for “The Carol”, HyunJin is seen waiting for HeeJin while standing next to a bar. This is one of the locations that has changed the most since 2016, as the bar has been replaced with another store. Nevertheless, this place is not far from Seven Dials, and is located at 16 Moor St (Google Maps, coordinates: 51.5135, -0.1298). Continuing towards Soho, we soon find another place visited by HeeJin, HyunJin, and HaSeul, the Korean restaurant Assa on Romilly St (Google Maps, coordinates: 51.5128, -0.1313). This place appears in Loona TV #52, and after having lunch there, I can say that their food was really delicious.

Other locations in Soho appear in the music video for “The Carol”. First is the records store Sounds of the Universe, located on Broadwick St. In the video, the members can be seen walking on the sidewalk next to this store (Google Maps, coordinates: 51.5140, -0.1346). The bench HaSeul was sitting on in the video unfortunately has been removed, and the store it was next to has closed down and has been replaced by a restaurant called Zahter. The bench was located on the side facing Foubert’s Pl (Google Maps, coordinates: 51.5139, -0.1388). A bit further east along this street, we can find the place where HeeJin and HyunJin were holding presents in the music video (Google Maps, coordinates: 51.5139, -0.1386).

The final area of London where the music video for “The Carol” was filmed is Kensington. In the video, HeeJin can be seen walking near the crossroads between Wrights Ln and Cheniston Gardens, next to a restaurant called Kensington Thai Terrace (Google Maps, coordinates: 51.4994, -0.1925). Along the same road, HeeJin also walked in front of 22 Wrights Ln and 20 Wrights Ln (Google Maps, coordinates: 51.4990, -0.1924). After continuing south and turning onto Cheniston Gardens, we can find one of the locations where some photos from HaSeul’s album were taken. More specifically, this is around 27 Cheniston Gardens, along the railing on the southern side of the street. This location also appears in Loona TV #53 (Google Maps, coordinates: 51.4988, -0.1927). Another railing the Loona members stopped by, as seen in Loona TV #57, is instead located on nearby Abingdon Villas, on the northern side of the road (Google Maps, coordinates: 51.4983, -0.1932).

Loona TV #53 and #57 also show HeeJin, HyunJin, and HaSeul walking outside the Copthorne Tara Hotel London Kensington (Google Maps, coordinates: 51.4988, -0.1915). The scene from the “The Carol” music video in which HeeJin walks along a brick wall was filmed next to the hotel, on Scarsdale Pl (Google Maps, coordinates: 51.4986, -0.1913). Finally, HeeJin, HyunJin, and HaSeul also visited the area around St Mary Abbots Church. Loona TV #58 shows the members walking along Kensington Church St (Google Maps, coordinates: 51.5023, -0.1912). The same episode also shows the crossroads between Kensington High St and Kensington Church St (Google Maps, coordinates: 51.5019, -0.1910).

Years after filming the music video for “The Carol”, the Loona members returned to London a few times for their concerts. After their performances in 2024 and 2025, all the ARTMS members posted photos of them near various famous landmarks (Choerry’s 2024 post, HaSeul’s 2024 post, HeeJin’s 2024 post, HeeJin’s 2025 post, JinSoul’s 2024 post, Kim Lip’s 2024 post, Kim Lip’s 2025 post).

Let’s start with King’s Cross. In 2025, Kim Lip posted photos of herself outside this train station, along Pancras Rd (Kim Lip’s 2nd, 3rd, and 4th photo, Google Maps, coordinates: 51.5317, -0.1252). She also visited Platform 9¾ inside King’s Cross, as well as the Harry Potter Shop located there (Kim Lip’s 5th to 10th photos, Google Maps, coordinates: 51.5321, -0.1241).

The ARTMS members also visited Trafalgar Square. HeeJin posted some photos here in 2024, including two taken next to the fountain on the eastern side of the square, looking towards the National Gallery (HeeJin’s 4th and 5th photo). Another photo was taken almost in the same spot next to this fountain, but looking towards the opposite side (HeeJin’s 6th photo, Google Maps, coordinates: 51.5080, -0.1277). JinSoul also posted a photo taken here, showing the Major General Sir Henry Havelock Statue, which also appears in one of HeeJin’s pictures. Funnily enough, a bird is standing on the statue’s head in JinSoul’s photo, and I saw the same scene when I took a picture of this monument (JinSoul’s 7th photo, Google Maps, coordinates: 51.5079, -0.1274).

ARTMS also performed in Trafalgar Square, as shown in these two videos: first, second. Their performance was held in one of the designated busking areas located just outside the National Gallery (Google Maps, coordinates: 51.5084, -0.1286). In the same videos, the members are also dancing next to the Saatchi Gallery, a museum in Chelsea. HeeJin, HaSeul, Kim Lip, JinSoul, and Choerry danced close to the entrance of the gallery and next to a long bench located there. When I visited this place, construction works were blocking the area in front of the bench, so I had to take the photo from a slight angle, but the location is still the same (Google Maps, coordinates: 51.4904, -0.1588). HeeJin’s Moonshot Tour vlog also shows an area located next to the Saatchi Gallery, on King’s Road near to a Russell & Bromley shop (Google Maps, coordinates: 51.4915, -0.1602).

Continuing along King’s Rd, we can find a couple of places that appear in Yves’ Apple Cinnamon Crunch Tour vlog. While in London, Yves visited the Vivienne Westwood Worlds End shop on this street (Google Maps, coordinates: 51.4832, -0.1774). Later in the same video, Yves is next to a dry cleaning at the crossroads between King’s Rd and Edith Grove (Google Maps, coordinates: 51.4818, -0.1814). The vlog also shows Yves in Piccadilly Circus, next to the entrance of the Underground station at the crossroads with Regent Street Saint James’s (Google Maps, coordinates: 51.5097, -0.1345).

Going back to ARTMS, the members posted numerous photos in the area around the London Eye and the Palace of Westminster. In 2024, HeeJin posted a few pictures taken along the railing located just south of the London Eye (HeeJin’s 1st, 2nd, and 3rd photo, Google Maps, coordinates: 51.5030, -0.1195). Another photo was instead taken under one of the support legs of the ferris wheel (HeeJin’s 7th photo, Google Maps, coordinates: 51.5033, -0.1193).

HaSeul, JinSoul, and Choerry posted various photos taken on the riverside walkway just south of Westminster Bridge, with the Palace of Westminster in the background (Choerry’s 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th photo, HaSeul’s 1st, 2nd, and 3rd photo, JinSoul’s 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th photo, Google Maps, coordinates: 51.5003, -0.1201). The wall covered with hearts which serves as a COVID memorial and appears in Kim Lip and Jinsoul’s 2024 posts is also located here.

The ARTMS members also took photos on Westminster Bridge. Some of these were taken near the eastern end of the bridge, with the riverside path in Lambeth and the staircase leading to it in the background (Choerry’s 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th photo, Kim Lip’s 2nd photo in 2024). Kim Lip also posted photos taken around the same spot, but looking towards the Palace of Westminster (Kim Lip’s 3rd, 4th, and 5th photo in 2024, Google Maps, coordinates: 51.5007, -0.1203). HeeJin’s 2025 post instead includes pictures taken on the same bridge, but near the western end, with the London Eye in the background (HeeJin’s 6th and 7th photo, Google Maps, coordinates: 51.5010, -0.1232). The same HeeJin post also has some photos taken under the Big Ben, just off Westminster Bridge (HeeJin’s 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th, and 16th photo, Google Maps, coordinates: 51.5011, -0.1238). Finally for this area, HeeJin also posted pictures taken on the riverside walk on Victoria Embankment, just north of Westminster Bridge, again with the London Eye in the background (HeeJin’s 8th and 9th photo, Google Maps, coordinates: 51.5013, -0.1237).

The final area where ARTMS took photos is on the opposite side of the city, near the Tower Bridge. In her 2025 post, HeeJin has photos taken on the riverside path near Butler’s Wharf Pier, with the bridge in the background (HeeJin’s 10th and 11th photo, Google Maps, coordinates: 51.5038, -0.0735). Also, HeeJin’s Moonshot Tour vlog shows the group approaching the Tower Bridge in a car from the southern side (Google Maps, coordinates: 51.5035, -0.0767).

This ends my exploration of places where the Loona members have been in London (at least for now), but there’s one more notable place I visited. Countless idols have been in London, and numerous K-Pop videos have been shot here. Among these, the most famous is arguably the music video for “Solo” by Jennie. The video was filmed in various locations, and I visited one of those, the Leake Street Arches, also known as Graffiti Tunnel, which passes underneath the Waterloo train station not far from Westminster Bridge and the London Eye (Google Maps, coordinates: 51.5018, -0.1155). I also looked into the parking lot that appears in the same video. That was at the Old Vinyl Factory in Hayes, but now a series of apartment blocks have been built there, so the parking lot doesn’t exist anymore. For this reason, I didn’t visit the place, but it was located here: Google Maps, coordinates: 51.5041, -0.4266. Also, the large billboard with the screaming people was apparently moved. Using Street View on Google Maps, I found it on a nearby building here: Google Maps, coordinates: 51.5049, -0.4285. However, the photos are from 2022 and, as I said, I didn’t visit the place so I didn’t verify if it’s still there.

This scene from the music video for "Solo" by Jennie was filmed at Leake Street Arches, also known as Graffiti Tunnel.

Once again, looking for all these places was a lot of fun and it’s always satisfying to find them. My trip to London happened in September 2026, and if I have the opportunity to visit the city again I’ll try to add more places to this guide. As always, if for any reason I’m some place where the Loona members have been before, I’ll keep searching for the locations they visited, so you can look forward to the next episode in this series.
