✪ La Maddalena Island

La Maddalena Island (Isola La Maddalena) is the main island of the archipelago, and the only one that houses a large settlement. The island features a rugged coast with several beaches and some small seaside resorts, while the interior houses a gorgeous environment. The town of La Maddalena is regarded as one of the most beautiful villages in Italy.

✪ Caprera

Caprera is an island located just east of La Maddalena Island. The island has various beaches, and features one of the most uncontaminated marine areas in Italy. Caprera is also known for having been the residence of Giuseppe Garibaldi, who bought part of the island in 1855 and died here in 1882. The area where he lived, known as Compendio Garibaldino, is now a museum. This complex includes his house and his tomb, and hosts numerous objects who belonged to Garibaldi.

Santo Stefano Island

Santo Stefano Island (Isola Santo Stefano) is an island located just south of La Maddalena Island. Inhabited since ancient times, the island has various ancient fortifications, and until 2008 it hosted a military base. Now once again open to tourists, it features a resort and some beaches.

Spargi Island

Spargi Island (Isola Spargi) is an island located east of La Maddalena Island. The island is unhinabited and mostly rocky, and houses numerous species of birds. Various beautiful beaches are located along the coast of the island.

Budelli Island

Budelli Island (Isola Budelli) is one of the islands of the archipelago of La Maddalena. The island is uninhabited and mostly pristine, and it is known especially for a beach known as Spiaggia Rosa (“Pink Beach”), which got this name because of the unique pink shade of its sand.

Santa Maria Island

Razzoli Island
