The Cosmundus Atlas<\/a> is expanding with the addition of South Italy<\/a> and Insular Italy<\/a>, meaning that now all of Italy can be explored here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

South Italy includes the regions of Abruzzo<\/a>, Molise<\/a>, Campania<\/a>, Apulia<\/a>, Basilicata<\/a>, and Calabria<\/a>, which house some of the most magnificent locations and breathtaking attractions in the entire country. From the mountains of the Gran Sasso<\/a> massif to the wonderful beaches of Calabria, this area is rich of natural beauty, and includes several national parks and the famous Mount Vesuvius<\/a>, as well as the archaeological areas of Pompeii<\/a>, Herculaneum<\/a>, and Paestum<\/a>. South Italy is also known for its unique culture, traditions, food, and music, especially in Naples<\/a>, the main center of the region, but there are several other cities known for their peculiar attractions, which include the Sassi of Matera<\/a>, the Trulli of Alberobello<\/a>, and the Baroque architecture of Lecce<\/a>, just to name a few. Another reason to visit South Italy is the beautiful coastline dotted with seaside resorts, among which are renowned locations such as the Amalfi Coast<\/a>, Gallipoli<\/a>, and Tropea<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The same can be said about the regions of Sicily and Sardinia, which include the two large islands of the same name as well as various other smaller islands, such as the Aeolian Islands<\/a> and the archipelago of La Maddalena<\/a>. Natural beauty is abundant in both regions, with Sicily housing Mount Etna<\/a>, and Sardinia featuring various areas with a pristine environment, and both also host numerous famous seaside resorts, such as Porto Cervo<\/a> and San Vito Lo Capo<\/a>. Insular Italy has a rich and long history, and there countless historic sites in both regions, with Sicily housing the Valley of the Temples<\/a>, Taormina<\/a>, Syracuse<\/a>, Segesta<\/a>, and many others. Sardinia is instead dotted with prehistoric megalithic structures known as nuraghi, the most notable of which is the Su Nuraxi of Barumini<\/a>. Numerous beautiful cities with historic landmarks are also here, including Palermo<\/a>, Catania<\/a>, Cagliari<\/a>, and several more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the Cosmundus Atlas, you can now explore all of Italy from top to bottom, as well as the tiny states of San Marino<\/a> and Vatican City<\/a>.
