Part of Comasco is also the Triangolo Lariano, the territory between the two southern branches of Lake Como. After the castle was demolished, a new villa was built in the 15th century and it was later expanded. Over the centuries, the villa has hosted numerous nobles and famous personalities, and it is now owned by the Rockefeller Foundation. The complex includes 14 chapels built between the 17th and 18th century, adorned with numerous statues and Baroque decorations.
